This course is for qualified heating engineers, heating apprentices in their final year and mechanical contractors.
Nu-Heat’s Intermediate course provides higher level training to allow you to further develop your knowledge on Nu-Heat’s current range of underfloor heating, air and ground source heat pumps and solar thermal systems. This course is aimed at Nu-Heat Registered Installers and graduates of the Nu-Heat Heat Pump Foundation Course.
To attend this course you must have completed our Heat Pump Foundation Course.
This detailed technical course covers the design, set-up, fault finding and servicing requirements of:
- Underfloor Heating (2 hours)
- Panasonic MDC of Air Source Heat Pump range (3 hours)
- NIBE Ground Source Heat Pump range (3 hours)
- NIBE Air Source Heat Pump range (4 hours)
- Solar thermal systems (2 hours)
Successful completion of this course will allow you to:
- Understand solar thermal design principles, servicing, and fault finding.
- Develop skills on underfloor heating to ensure you can correctly install, commission, fault find and service our current UFH range and controls
- Next level training to enable you fault find and service the range of Panasonic air source heat pumps, NIBE GSHPs and NIBE ASHPs offered by Nu-Heat
- Mechanical & electrical design principles to allow transferrable skills across manufacturers
- Invited to join our service partner scheme to receive service and breakdown requests*

Pre-Requisites:
Our foundation courses cover specification and installation Underfloor Heating and Heat Pumps.
To gain maximum benefit from the Intermediate System Course you will have previously attended the Nu-Heat Foundation Heat Pump Course, and ideally attended the underfloor heating foundation course.
