LowBoard 2^® underfloor heating

LowBoard 2^® is a super-slim panel system engineered specifically to be laid directly over existing subfloors in renovation and extension projects.

With an exceptionally thin total build-up of just 18mm, LowBoard 2^® gives you the freedom to bring high-output underfloor heating into any home without compromising on room height or restricting design choices. Available with a choice of woodfibre or cement cover panels, it adapts seamlessly to work beneath any chosen floor finish.

Featuring advanced AL HEX^® heat diffuser foil and a pre-routed cover and base board, the system is simple to install, and the warm water pipe is as close to the floor surface as possible, improving heat output and delivering fast warm up times.

Backed by Nu-Heat’s bespoke design service and clear step-by-step guidance, LowBoard 2^® provides a straightforward, low-effort installation with zero compromise on heating performance.

LowBoard 2^® has been developed specifically for easy installation into new builds and renovations to lay over an existing insulated floor.

Step 1. Prep the subfloor by repairing and levelling concrete, insulating below joists and priming areas where the lower panels will be laid, as shown in your design.

Step 2. Lay the LowBoard 2^® lower boards in a brick-bond pattern. To secure them, glue the edges and screw to the subfloor where fitted over suspended timber subfloors.

Step 3. Following the supplied pipe plan, begin laying the 12mm pipe which easily pushes into the channels.

Step 4. Fix the printed cover panels as indicated in the instructions, using the clearly marked fixing indicators. LowBoard 2^®’s cover panels feature AL HEX^® heat diffuser technology for optimum heat transfer and are designed to fully encase the pipe, creating a sturdy floor surface with zero air gaps for optimum heating performance.
